Puppies are just too dang cute, but they can certainly increase life's stress factor. They are full of curiosity and can have mischievous personalities. Like human babies, everything can go into their mouth, shoes, kid toys, sticks, you name it, they try to eat it. What puppies lack is a general understanding of what is expected from them and at times this can become frustrating to many puppy owners, especially if we are trying to teach them where to eliminate, to come when called, and not to chew the furniture. Dogs 4 Life can help to crate a successful puppy which involves molding them into the family. We can begin training as young as eight weeks, starting them off young can help to minimize any mistakes that may lead into unwanted adult behavior.
We offer several levels of puppy programs and tailor each program based on the age and mentality level of the puppy, as we work towards the families training goals. Programs are based on fairness and consistency, we teach without force, without dragging or pulling, as we structure each training around the mind body and ability of the puppy.
New Parent Puppy Program: We can assist new puppy parents or parents needing a brush up on topics to prepare for the stages to come. The Parent Puppy Program gives you piece of mind as it is designed to reduce the stress and to give you the tools needed to succeed. Topics we include: nutrition, crate training, housebreaking, potty on command, socialization, exercise and how to avoid unwanted behaviors such as chewing nipping and jumping.
Precious Pup + Foundation Training Program: We cover the topics needed from the above list in the Parent Puppy Program, in addition, we begin setting your foundation commands: sit, down, stay, and come. More on Foundation Training. We lead you by example and teach you how to train your puppy using gentle, non correctional methods, to secure a future confident, obedient, and over all well adjusted dog.
